Designed by local Denver artist, BAKEMONO0504, this t-shirt is inspired by the Japanese art of 'kintsugi'. The golden cracks within the letters stating 'I am not broken' draw from the 'kintsugi' philosophy that we may learn how to see beauty through the reinvention of ourselves.
From the artist:
"This healing process makes us stronger than before and, where we once felt weakened, we radiate with resilience. 50% of the proceeds for these t-shirts will be donated to the Asian Pacific Development Center (APDC) and to the Asian Mental Health Collective. APDC is an organization that exists to serve and support all immigrant, and refugee communities with whole health, community-based engagement approach through health, education, and advocacy. The Asian Mental Health Collective's mission is to normalize and de-stigmatize mental health within the Asian community - they aspire to make mental health easily available, approachable, and accessible to Asian communities worldwide.
